Medical and health sciences education

Aboriginal cultural content is now an integral part of health sciences curricula, reflecting the growing recognition of its essential role in the Australian health field. We can develop non-clinical Aboriginal health content and strengthened by clinical case studies to support learning.

We are also experienced in developing appropriate assessment strategies and evaluation methods.

Cultural awareness & cultural safety training

We can develop cultural safety and cultural awareness training for health professionals and health sciences students, as well as tailoring cultural safety programs for other professions in education, child protection, social work and community development and roles such as governance, committee membership, management and administrative staff to ensure the principles are embedded across organisations.

Teaching and facilitation

With experience in the Aboriginal community, corporate, and university sectors, we develop and deliver training curricula tailored to varied audiences and learning goals, often collaborating with expert peers.

As part of the learning experience, we will also apply an evaluation survey to collate and share de-identified participant feedback.

Curriculum development

Trained educators will use our extensive curriculum development experience to develop bespoke curricula for workshops, short courses, or longer programs, and other training configurations as required.

Content, learning outcomes, assessment, and teaching pedagogy will be negotiated with stakeholders to ensure transformative and culturally safe learning experiences.

Cultural immersion

Our team offers deep cultural insight and works with Aboriginal knowledge holders and Elders to deliver immersive activities for firsthand cultural learning. We can organise field trips to learn about creation ancestors, traditional lifestyles, bush tucker and bush medicine, visits to Aboriginal organisations, workshops, and guest speakers.

We specialise in Aboriginal art workshops such as painting, basket weaving, feather flower making, silk painting and boomerang throwing as cultural experiences.

We acknowledge the unceded sovereign Nations of Aboriginal peoples on whose land we live and work, and we honour our Elders—past and present. Living on colonised land, we recognise the strength and resilience of Aboriginal peoples, as well as the ongoing spiritual and cultural importance of the earth, oceans, stars, skies and all living beings central to our creation stories. Our ancestors continue to guide us as we navigate living between two worlds.
